I took this picture at dusk one evening. There is a canoe and kayak rental nearby, and people often paddle under the bridge and dive into the Colorado River to cool off. As the weather gets hotter, this becomes more and more tempting.

Spring in Texas is the sweetest season. It is a precious window of warm afternoons, clear skies, cool breezes, and the occasional soaking rainstorm before a long, hot summer. It is also the season of flowers.

A couple of weeks ago, we had our annual snow day (singular). It was a whole inch of fluffy winter loveliness that yielded a much appreciated (albeit probably unnecessary) Friday at home.

The photo challenge this week was bokeh. It was a BEAUTIFUL day today and a lovely evening, so Chris and I headed out after TEFL class to give the bokeh project a try. Chris’ photo, by far, was my favorite of the evening: Of the photos I took, this was my favorite:
