Eco Fashion Show

28 Mar

I’ve written before about my friend Anslee, who is a fashion designer and has her own clothing line for curvy ladies.    Recently, Anslee invited me to MODEL for her Make Sense of Your World‘s Eco Fashion Show.  It was so so fun!

First, however, I had to learn how to walk in my fabulous bright blue heels.  A couple of evenings before the show, I was hobbling around in my teensy apartment, attempting to not look like a stork and/or giraffe.  Chris watched this for a while and then asked if he could give the shoes a try.  I handed them over.  Chris popped them on over his white crew socks and took the heels for a test run.  “Oh!  Just put a little more weight on the toe, like this,” he recommended.  Ladies, let me just say, Chris’ tips were spot on!  If you ever need a bit of assistance learning to walk in heels, my sweet boyfriend is your man!

The show itself was amazing and Anslee’s clothes were gorgeous.  It was really fun being such a girl and dressing up and wearing awesome hair and fab make-up complete with false eyelashes.  And I really enjoyed the chaotic, clothes-flying-everywhere-last-minute-lipgloss-nervous/excited-chatting backstage before the fashion show.  I did a lot of ballet when I was younger, and I forgot how much fun all of that is!
