Behold: the most expensive grapes I have ever bought that were not first mashed and fermented for a specific amount of time
2 Aug
I spied these grapes today at Whole Foods, glistening in beautiful, organic mounds of crimson reds, champagne greens, and deep purple. Hypnotized by the glistening fruit, and the fake Texas drawl of the man making kitschy sales announcements over the loudspeaker, I selected the plumpest, reddest bunch and plopped them into my basket. Only later, when I was going over my receipt to figure out how my total was THAT high, did I realize these grapes, these sweet/sour, seedless, red summer grapes, cost more than all the other groceries in my basket! And they are the best grapes I’ve ever eaten. So there!

I love a tasty grape.
