A Night at Casa Maria

27 Jul

Last weekend, Chris and I tried Casa Maria for dinner on a recommendation from one of his co-workers at camp.  She said it was the best place to get Mexican food in Austin.  That sounded good to us, so we went to check it out. Friday and Saturday nights Casa Maria features a live mariachi [...]

My Bus Stop

5 Jul

Each morning I begin my day at the bus stop, sleepily awaiting the bus, and enjoying the sunshine of the new day on my face.  This summer, I am particularly enjoying the wild sunflowers that grow along the road near my stop.

The Turtle Pond

My First Friend

29 May

This is my first friend at the new apartments.  When he introduced himself (herself?) to Chris, he was covered in fleas and matted hair.  He must have noticed that Chris took offense to having his ankles rubbed by a purring mass of gross, because the next time he stopped by, he had taken the trouble [...]

Far Up in the Hills of Georgia…Ann Marie Graduated!!

26 May

Finally finally finally (well, really in the normal, 4 year time-span) I graduated!  whooo!! And Chris was there and looked fabulous: Oh, and a duck fell in love with him.  It swam across a lake just to be with him: Here’s some of my family who came: My roommate of amazement Olivia graduated, too: So, [...]
